Story
Distance 4 Darcy
As some of you may know, last year on the 4th of May my nephew, Darcy, was born sleeping.
In honour of Darcy, I am going to attempt to ride 2,000km in the month of May for the 2,000+ families that were faced with the tragedy of still birth in Australia last year.
My goal is to raise $6,500 for the Bears of Hope Foundation, a charity that provides crucial support and exceptional care for families who experience the loss of their baby. Bears of Hope will use this $6,500 to purchase a cuddle cot, that will then be donated to an Australian hospital, funeral home or hospice to support bereaved families in those crucial days after the loss of their baby. A cuddle cot is a cooling system that lays beneath the baby within a bassinet. It enables families to keep their baby close and create beautiful memories, spending as much time as they wish with their baby, before saying goodbye. My sister and brother in-law were fortunate enough to use a cuddle cot following the birth of Darcy and the precious time they got to spend with him is something they, along with our family will forever cherish.
I would love your support in helping me reach my goal of $6,500, by making a donation of any amount using the below link, and please feel free to leave a message of support.
