Rebecca & Daniel Wilson
Rebecca & Daniel Wilson
Story
On the 14th of August 2023 at 36+3 weeks pregnant I went into hospital for decreased movements with Charlotte, our Twin B. Our world was turned upside down when we found out our daughter no longer had a heartbeat. Charlotte Jane Wilson was delivered at 6.50pm that night during an emergency caesarean. She was stillborn. Our daughter was absolutely perfect, more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. She entered this world quietly but has already made a huge impact in both ours and our families lives.
Over the next few months we will be fundraising for a Cuddle Cot to be donated to an Australian hospital, funeral home or hospice to support bereaved families in those crucial days after the loss of their baby. A Cuddle Cot is a cooling system that lays beneath the baby within a bassinet. It enables families to keep their baby close and create beautiful memories, spending as much time as they wish with their baby, before saying goodbye.
Cuddle Cot’s are expensive and unfortunately not everyone has access to them. We were so grateful we had the opportunity to use one while we were in hospital. We had 4 days with Charlotte before we had to say goodbye. This is something we will always cherish. We hope to raise the funds in time for the twins first birthday this year. The Cuddle Cot will be lovingly donated in honour of Charlotte.
We would love you to help us reach our goal of $6500, supporting this cause by making a donation of any amount. Please feel free to leave a message of support.
With love from Daniel, Rebecca, Patrick, Matilda and Charlotte
