Story
Every year, countless families in Australia face the unimaginable heartache of losing a baby. It’s an experience filled with profound pain and trauma, and in those moments families need compassion, understanding and support.
We’re raising funds towards a cuddle cot to give to an Australian hospital, hospice or funeral home. A cuddle cot is a special cooling system that allows parents to keep their baby close, creating precious memories in the short time they have. It protects that deeply important time from interruption or separation, so families can hold, see, and spend time with their baby for as long as they need.
Our boys are our life lottery... But through both pregnancies and births, we experienced moments of crippling fear, the loss of a twin and a newborn born in fetal distress requiring special care. Those experiences reminded us how quickly joy can turn into uncertainty, and how precious moments with your baby truly are.
Our boys have everything they could possibly need (and we’re packing up our whole house in a month!), so instead of gifts, we’d be so grateful if you would consider donating towards a cuddle cot in their honour. 💙🩵🩶

Bears Of Hope Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support is an Australian not-for-profit organisation, providing leading support and exceptional care for families who experience the loss of their baby.
We provide exclusive and invaluable support programs that include a credible foundation of parent led and psychologist facilitated support groups, private online peer to peer support communities, phone, face to face, online and email counselling and annual community events that remember individual baby’s and recognize their parents love. Bears Of Hope comfort, acknowledge, inform, empower, and guide families during their time of loss and beyond.
As a registered non-profit organisation we are dedicated to the care of others and reinvesting our finances and resources to ensure the mental health needs and wellbeing of parents are being met and embraced for as long as as required.
