Emily & Robbie Ward in Memory of Samuel Robert Ward
Emily & Robbie Ward in Memory of Samuel Robert Ward
Story
Robbie and I welcomed Samuel Robert Ward on the 16th of May 2018
Sam passed away in our arms 24mins later.
Robbie and I were lucky enough to had the advantage of having a cuddle cot to be able to spend a precious 26hours with our beautiful son.
Cuddle cots are not government funded and are donated mostly by bereaved families.
Many families experience the loss of their baby in Australia each year. It is an incredibly heartbreaking and traumatic time for parents - a time when they need support the most.
A cuddle cot is a cooling system that lays beneath the baby within a bassinet. It enables families to keep their baby close and create beautiful memories, spending as much as time as they wish without the worry or distress to keep handing their baby back to hospital staff to be cooled in a traditional cooling room away from them.
We are fundraising to help fund a cuddle cot for a hospital to provide this invaluable support for families who find themselves in this devastating situation.
We would love to give another family the opportunity we had to spend the time with their gorgeous babies.
If you could help us in any small way to achieve our goal of at least one cuddle cot in Sam's name we would be forevegrateful.
Rest Peace and Fly High our sweet sweet boy xx
