Story
***update**** As we have successfully fundraised for 1 Cuddle Cot i have extended the target to try reach 12,000 to purchase another. Cuddle Cot being presented to Burnie Hospital 19/03/2019.
Many families experience the loss of their baby in Australia each year. It is an incredibly heartbreaking and traumatic time for parents - a time when they need support the most. Unfortunately Damien and I are now one of these families due to the sudden loss of our precious much loved Son Ollie Tomas John Bell who was born sleeping on the 19th July 2018. A cuddle cot is an invaluable support resource for bereaved parents before they leave the hospital. It is a cooling system that has been designed to fit within a small cot and lies beneath the baby. It enables families to keep their baby close and create beautiful memories spending as much uninterrupted time as they wish without the worry or distress to keep handing their baby back to the hospital staff to be cooled in a traditional cooling room. We are fundraising to help fund a cuddle cot for a hospital to provide this invaluable support for families who find themselves in this devastating situation. Please support our efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.
